Very limited mid-1960s production, very expensive to manufacture: handmade 
with hand-ground aspheric lens surface (Leitz was just at the start of the 
aspheric learning curve). The f/1.2 is a collector lens today, not a user. It 
was made for its full-aperture performance that was, at the time, 
incomparable but cannot compare optically with the f/1.
