Try A&I in LA (http://www.aandi.com) for Kodachrome processing before you
trade in for Velvia (not that Velvia is bad, just different).

Five rolls of new, in date stuff. Would LOVE to trade for equivalent amount
of Velvia.

Why? Well, during the waning days of Kodachrome I decided, for nostalgia's
sake, to make a summer of Kodachrome shots. The film's fine, but KODAK has
been my problem. The first roll came back unmounted, as requested. I've
had disasters in the past with warped Kodak cardboard mounts, and now have
my photo store mount the film beautifully in plastic mounts. Well, the
Kodachrome came back, but it WASN'T MY STUFF! Instead of classic cars and
intoxicated drag queens, I had 36 overexposed shots of kites aloft. I'm
sure the kite photographer wasn't too thrilled with my pictures, either.
After three weeks Kodak found my film and returned it, a bit worse for wear.
I just tried again, sending off another roll for processing. The geniuses
at Kodak ignored the boldface instructions DO NOT MOUNT and put the pictures
in bent cardboard, along with a sheepish apology note.

Kodachrome is wonderful. It's a shame that it's made by Eastman Kodak, who
could screw up a one-car funeral. Perhaps you have a reliable local lab
that can do K-14 without incident. If so, let me know, and I'll be GLAD to
swap! I'm going exclusively Fuji and Ilford after this!!!!

And please, if interested, DO NOT REPLY TO THE LIST! My email is
