O.K. guys, I just joined the Leica R "club." As many
know, for years I've been a happy shooter of M Leicas, and
used a variety of SLR when the need called. I recently
divested myself of the last of my Ni***, and lived happily
for a while with my M6 and CL.

Yesterday I acquired an obviously loved R3 Electronic Mot
with a 50mm Summicron and winder. The camera is in great
shape with patina in all the right places. The lens is
clear, clean and smooth operating. Maybe after I get the
famous check from the government, I'll go in search of a
nice 80 Summilux or something.

I'm happy that the camera is quite intuitive; though I have
no Instruction book, none of the major thingees have proven
a mystery. One thing I can't figure, I understand the
camera has a battery check. I am not able to figure that
out.

Next question, can the R4 motor grip fit the R3?

These oughta start a nice long ten day thread.

Regards,

SonC
