IMO, the 80-200/4 feels a lot more solid than the older 75-200. the 80-200
has the same smooth focusing feel as the new 180/2.8. 

I was told by a Leica rep that the 80-200/4 is APO at most apertures and
focal lengths. Barely misses the mark at a couple of points. Thus no APO
designation. Don't know if it was sales talk, but I do know the lens is
really super. The 80-200 is manufactured at Kyocera, I believe.

How does the 80-200 f4  compare to the 4 year later ( also Minolta/Leica)
75-200 f4?? If you could get that at a good  price.....is that also
interesting?  ?? Steve
