Are you talking about the latest Apo-Summicron-M or a different one?  In the
former case, you shouldn't deprive yourself of trying out the Apo, as it will
leave you gasping in amazement.  I don't know about prior versions and so cannot
comment on those, but the newest Apo leaves me in awe--even a picture of a
garbage can looks good with that lens.
