Send it to Sherry for a CLA and get the vulcanite replaced with what ever
covering Leica is now using. You can ignore it and continue to use it. Continue
to do what you are now doing. Personally, I would  red label it to Sherry
today, if i planned on keeping the lens till death do us part.
