actually, my experience has been that it will make a mediocre photographer
a mediocre photographer with very out of focus and improperly exposed
images. if you can't do it right with your wiz-bang 900 making the hard
decisions, you sure can't do it right if you have to turn all the knobs
yourself and line up the two little squares in the middle to boot.... the
leica's the graduation present from photography school, not the entry
level....

(just like the tilly hat should only be worn by seasoned veterans who have
exhausted the possibilities of other hats: the tri-corner, the sombrero,
the stetson, the golf visor.....)
