This is exactly how I feel. I have in the past owned the 50mm Summicron and the
Noctilux. But the Noctilux was too heavy to carry around everywhere, and I also
wanted to rationalize my outfit, so I decided to sell both and buy a 50mm 1.4. I
initially got the Nokton as a low-cost option, and while I did make some pleasing
images with it, in the end I decided to get rid of it due to the bokeh issue that
John Brownlow also has commented on. So now I have the Summilux and it is the ideal
50mm lens FOR ME. The Noctilux can do amazing things in the right hands (see, for
example, Ted's work) but I prefer to stick with the Summilux.
