Sounds like the lens is actually a VARIO-SUMMICRONARIT. 

Or perhaps...a DIGIO-SUMMICRONARIT

I can read from the front of the camera in one of the images that the zoom
range is 33mm-100mm (35mm Equivalent), its hard to read what that is in
digital, but i think it says 7-21/1:2.0-2.5
