If I was shooting landscapes, why in God's name would I be using an M? (Wait, don't go there!;-)) I guess you're just lucky that you can almost always shoot in late afternoon or early evening, or in the shade. Unfortunately, I'm not that lucky. If I'm shadowing a subject for a day, and the subject goes outside into bright sunlight...well,then I go outside in bright sunlight, and I have to keep shooting. Which means I either switch film in mid-roll, or switch to the F100. Usual caveat - I love the M. It's a great tool. But there are some times when it is not the best tool for my purposes. B. I shoot B&W 400ISO all the time and usually am between F2/f5.6 at 500 and sometimes 1000. Maybe because I never shoot with that ISO in brilliant sunshine, and usually time my shooting for late afternoon to early evening and at that, if there is Sun, will shoot in the shade. Now if Muhammad and B.D. are doing landscapes why use such a high ISO?
