There was also an even thinner cap, which was constructed like the
14051, also marked Leitz Wetzlar. It is about 9.5 instead of 13mm
thick, and the one I have is all black. The 14042 deep cap came in
two versions, one of metal with a plastic insert, and the other all
plastic.
Stephen Gandy has third party caps similar to the 14269 that are
slightly cheaper than the originals.
That about caps it for me right now.
