On November 28th 2001, Christie’s will be auctioning a unique LEICA M6 TTL rangefinder camera designed by William Klein, along with one of the artist’s Painted Contact works. Klein’s name is engraved in red on the top plate of the anthracite finished camera. The camera and the LEICA SUMMILUX-M 35mm f/ 1,4 ASPH lens is valued from ₤18,000 to 24,000. William Klein’s Painted Contact is valued from ₤ 3,000 -5,000. Proceeds from the joint event will be donated to the French foundation ‚Reporters sans frontières‘. In addition the new issue contains a report about the sensational exhibition in Cologne, Germany entitled "150 Years of Photojournalism as mirrored by international magazines”.
