Hi Eric,

Congratulations!  There is both a Piezo list (two in fact, one B&W and one
color) as well as a Digital B&W (The Print) list on groups.yahoo.com.  If
you can't find them, please send me an email off list and I'll give you more
info.

Everything you mention is right on the money...  Can I guess you have a
Nikon scanner (they use LED light source and show up dust and scratches more
than diffuse light source scanners)?
