At first I thiught this would not work at all, but after some tries, I find that grabbing the film in shor ( 1-3 inch) steps and pushing iti intot he spiral really does work. You should try this with dummy film first as you may not get the ssame results. BTW, I use Tmax100 and HP5+ as films.. Base thickness can be a big differentiator.
