John:
Congratulations! Did you purchase the camera on Saturday? Reason I'm
asking is....I spent about half the day at NYCV...didn't get anything this
time, though but Colin did take numerous phone orders in between showing me
all the lenses.

Subject: [Leica] Got my first RF...

Well not my first RF but first Leica RF...it's Tuesday and the package came
(Thanks NYC&V). After unpacking and dry firing I have a few questions as the
newb to Leica stuff.

1) The lens focus is smooth but when fine tuning it's a tiny bit "sticky".
I'm assuming this is due to it being new and should go away as it wears.
Maybe it's just the Brass on Brass feel... Yes - No?

2) When dealing with the focusing box how close should the two images line
up vertically? I get the sense of it being the smallest bit off. It's most
noticeable when looking at a small lit source so that could be causing a
"flare" that just acts like a slight misalignment. When I look at text it's
pretty good. I cannot see a defined double image to indicate it being
misaligned, if anything it's just is slightly soft when the two images line
up. It would take a regular RF shooter to convince me to have it looked at.
This being said I've had my Mamiya7 sent in twice for alignment and the
Leica is as good or better than the Mamiya. So I'm not really concerned but
just want reassurance :) OK never mind. If I move my eye up, down, left, or
right from the center of the viewfinder the ghosting appears and disappears.
It's good & sharp when I align my eye dead center.

So I guess there's only one question to answer :)

Thanks in Advance
