I have several M models and often prefer to use the M2 or M3 for the 
uncluttered viewfinder. I also find the models 3, 2, and 4 have a much for 
pleasant "feel" of precision than the M6. I don't think that the older 
cameras take better pictures. The M6, with the built in meter, can be a bit 
faster handling if the lighting is changing rapidly, but this is usually 
not the case in my photography.
