Nathan,

where I get my Xtol , the five liter pack costs less than three one
liter packs. Before you switch to DDX (I thought you already had !?),
may I suggest you think of a five liter pack as three one liter packs
with two additional one liter packs given away FREE! All in the
same bags.

I get more upset that Ilford only sells its stop bath in half liter
bottles. I want it in liter bottles at liter prices.

I get Hypam in 5 liter cans, cost about as much as three one-liter
bottles. And probably less than two liters in half-liter bottles. At
the 5 liter price, when in doubt if the hypo is still OK, I always
throw it out. Never needed any Hypo Clear.

I did a similar thing in the sixties when going back to Sweden, but
stopped because I always had to open the bottles when going through
customs to prove they did not contain liquor.
