The sign was a fluke - when I was taking it - when I _scanned_ the negative
I saw it straight away and thought was 'This is the one'. I guess that's why
I'm an amateur :-)

What I _did_ see straight away was the potential of the light, bright but
very hazy.

You brought a slice of Paris to my desktop - thanks! I like all the
pictures, but your main one is a winner. Presumably you saw the potential of
the sign and waited? It is a perfect moment, with the background
characters - even the dog - all playing their part in the wonderful light
and atmosphere which you have captured. A picture to file in the memory.
Great stuff.
