Subject: [Leica] A "how 2" flash question
From: Adam Bridge <abridge@mac.com>

My neighbor's son is a drummer (and a good one) and they've asked me to shoot a
portrait of him while he's playing.

I have an image in my mind of an effect I'd like to achieve: I'd like to shoot
with a long shutter speed to get his drum sticks and high-hat as blurred - but
use a strobe to freeze the drumstick in the middle of it's arc.

I don't have a clue about how to set the strobes to get this. Maybe it's not
possible but I have to think it is and I'm just not knowledgable enough to make
it work.

I'm going to try at different shutter speeds and experiment around of course -
but I thought someone may have done something similiar in the past.

Thanks

Adam
