I was approached with a similar offer for use a few months ago. My agent
handled it but the speicifics, as I recall, were $450.00 per image for a
year. Mine were for web use only, I'd consider doubling that number seeing
as your licensee is wishing to do hard copy publishing as well.

Be sure to get a 'term of contract' specified...meaning you agree to the
terms (useage, price paid, format, etc.) for a specific time frame. One to
two years would be normal.

There should be a contract involved, payment should be up front and samples
of the printed work should be supplied to you free of charge. I would not
agree to anything that makes this an exclusive arrangement...meaning if
another company approaches you to use the images, you want to be free to
persue that as well. Don't tie your own hands behind your back.

This needn't be a difficult thing, nor should you be intimidated by it. Just
make sure you understand their usage needs and make sure they understand
your money needs, write it down, have all parties sign it and pat yourself
on the back.

Again, no art turnover should happen before you get a check.
Congratulations to you. Exciting, isn't it?
Lea
