Subject: [Leica] OT: looking for US Navy Photographers Mate for museum display help

On behalf of a local (though national caliber) museum, I'm looking for a
US Navy Photographers Mate (or similar) who, ideally but not necessarily,
served between 1943 and 1972.

Alternatively, if anyone has accurate detailed knowledge of equipment
used, both cameras and laboratory, and daily photographic work routines
aboard a naval vessel, although they themselves did not serve, or knows
where such information can be found, please contact me.

While I can and should not presume, I'm guessing that the vessel in
question was commissioned with Crown/Speed Graphics and decommissioned
with Nikon Fs, and that I could try the message boards associated with
those cameras. Does anyone here have a favorite along those lines?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice offered.

Peter Jensen
