Hi B.D.
Definitely with the heavy wool socks, been there and done it a number of
times. Even putting lenses in them when packed in their cases for long
trips.  They don't really need the extra sock buffer in foam, but it never
costs anything to do, particularly on a long assignment.

Besides one can usually use an extra pair of socks. ;-)
