I have to say 'thanks,' and your comments are all right on - although I
would argue that number 4 will always have some relevance as a political
social image...But given our short national memory, maybe not..:-(

As to the Big Question..

Yes, #3 was shot with a Summicron 28....#4 was shot with a Vivitar Series I
28 on a Honeywell Pentax, which is what I "moved up" to from my first "real"
camera, a IIIc with a Serenar 50 1.8.

I think the lesson here, given that thus far 50% of the guessers have
guessed wrong, and NO ONE has flat out said - 'Oh, THAT's a Leica image,' is
that as wonderful as Leica glass is, this 'I can tell a Leica image at 50
paces stuff' is so much bs. ;-)

Bottom line - "it ain't the meat, it's the motion."

I'm going to be PC for a change. It doesn't matter. Two strong images.
Number 3 is a timeless image that any human could process and make up their
own mind about. Number 4 requires social relevance training; This means
that in some cultures and at some future time the image will have little
relevance. Back to the debate about captions, number four has a different
meaning in 1968 than 1964.

But, just because I actually got some sleep and a whole day off, #3 is the
Leica and #4 is the other. Only because you keep saying that you use your
Leica where they are strongest which is wide angles in low light. That
describes the shot of the couple on the bed.
