Hi Henning,
I explained all the short comings of working at 40 to 60 below zero and she
still packed her M6, lenses and off into the totally frozen wild wild Great
White North! ;-)

Talked to her late last evening and she mumbled something like.... "I think
my nose froze when I stepped off the plane!" Then some other almost
inaudible things about there was daylight and now she'd be shooting outside.
"What should I do?"

I told her as long as she could see what she needed to shoot from the inside
of a warm vehicle, just roll down the window and shoot. Close window, turn
up heater. ;-) Other than that get your butt out there honey, get on with it
and don't whine about the cold. :-)

Aaaaaaaaahhh she's a hardy soul and will swing that M6 around her neck, go
out and do it like the pro she is. And knowing her, she'll be giggling at
some of the "frozen to the ground" things that'll likely happen. :-)

And to top it off, she found out she'll be flying even farther north to
Tuktoyuktuk. And when you're that close to the top of the world she'll
almost be able to see Siberia! ;-)

Like Tina, Sandy heads off to some of the hottest and coldest climates in
the world clicking away with M6's and R8's with a sort of reckless abandon,
that many a man would think twice before adventuring into with just a camera
and some rolls of film in the pocket.
