I would bring all my gear including the Rs if I could, but with my son 
coming it limits the volume of luggage on the trip.  I will bring what M 
gear I can fit in my luggage and also carry on the plane.

The worry of leaving the gear in the apartment doesn't really concern 
me.  As you stated, it is more likely to be stolen at my home while I am 
away, than on the trip.

The SF-20 flash was always on my list of things to take.  It will at least 
be good for the happy snaps of Gordon, if I don't use it for a little fill 
flash.
