Lea,

The M6 meter is like a spot meter, so when you move the camera even slightly
the reading changes. For this reason, even though I have two M6 ttls, I
prefer to use my older M2/3 and a hand held incidence meter.

The best thing for you to do is not to worry much about any slight
fluctuation especially with b&w which has at least a one stop exposure
latitude.
