Just try tmx, or any standard 21 din film, expose at +3 normal and develop in standard print developer.  A bit of experimenting for the right development times and you will have grain the size of golfballs.  Rember fine grain developers do just that, give you fine grain.  Try something wacky, it's fun and the results can be quite amazing.
