Paul,

The portrait of the girl is very good and somewhat unsettling. The stripes of light appear
to be cutting her into pieces. I kept looking at the picture for a long time, which is
always a good indication that it is interesting and works on more than one level.

The other shot (the ship) is not quite as successful in my view. The large area of water is
dead space, and the swan is too far away. This makes the composition unbalanced.
