[Leica] First user.

Hello,
I'm new in this forum and like to share my first experience with Leica.
 
I encountered with leica user when I was doing my street photo. I saw a guy with just
look like ‘toy’ camera sneak-up a shoot to couple---who were showing affection to each
other in the busy street---with unbelievably fast. I didn’t even see where he hid his
‘toy’ camera. I was amaze. So I approached that guy and starting conversation. His name
Gordon, I don’t know if he is in this forum. Man, if you are here---thanks to you for
enlighten me :). Finally I found out that what I thought ‘toy’ camera is a Leica M4-2,
which is pretty much beat-up. 

So after doing my homework with research what kind Leica for me. The next month I bought
myself Leica M3 with 50mm f/2 Summicron-M lens. When I got the M3, I was not too
enthusiastic with this camera; first---it so small in my palm, second---it’s old, way,
way older than me, third---no metering and fourth---I found viewfinder the M3 was
difficult for me since I wear glasses.  I’ve happened Nikon user from the first time I
own my first camera. I bought F2AS as my first camera and F5 as my back-up body with
mostly prime lenses. So manual camera is not new for me. Actually I prefer manual than
auto-focus camera. 

So to make this story short, I took M3 out headed to friend’s house. It was night when I
got there. With only existing light inside house, and slow shutter speed. I believe it
was around 1/8 to 1/30 with f/2. My experience with my Nikon with this kind slow shutter
without tripod, the pictures will be smooth, shake and blur. But what the heck, I did the
shoot anyway. So the next day when the negative came back---I was amaze---Holy crap! me
said to myself. All the pictures, which I took last night, were sharp. NOW I AM HOOKED!
So after long battle to justify the expense for new body Leica. I bought for me chrome
Leica M6 TTL with .72 viewfinder.  As I am right now is in process to be buddy with this
camera and go out more. Thanks.
