I use my Nikkor 135 (LTM) on my M3 a lot more than my 135 Tele-Elmar because
the former has a tripod thread while the latter doesn't. Not that I use
*any* 135mm lens much with rangefinder cameras. As for SLR lenses...I wish
the 180 f/3.4 Telyt had a built-in bracket 'cuz it's not exactly a
lightweight lens. With anything longer I insist on some sort of integral
tripod mount.

Do tell more about this Arca-type bracket.
