BUT... Because I am a new member to the LUG, I beg your patience. In mid-April I plan to buy a 35mm scanner. (PAWless until then) I am seeking advice. I cannot afford the $8,000 Nikon scanner used by the local paper. I hear contradictory information. Some brands of scanners are excellent but are hampered by the software. I hear good reports about the Polaroid but the company just declared bankruptcy. Others say the new Acer is the way to go. The bottom line is that I don't want to make some terrible mistake and then have fellow LUGgers say, "Gee, if you'd only bought this model..." Suggestions and comments?
