someone asked, so ... it was shot with the a leica FM2 and 105 mm f/2.5

was something wrong with that photo. ;-)

Seriously though - Shouldn't the questions be:

How did McCurry spot that young woman out of all the people he saw?

Why did he decide to shoot her when he did?

Did he pose her, or did she happen to turn toward him?

Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc.

In other words - It's what was in his head and heart - what was in his hands
was secondary or tertiary.
