Pigeons....and speaking of birds...there was a Terrifying Tale this a.m. in
the Boston Glob(cq) about a cute little 12 lbs dog named Ava, in
Eastbutt@#$k, Maine, who was playing in the backyard when a bald eagle came
screeching down and carried her off - and then dropped Ava from 40 feet up!
Little woofer survived, after about $250 worth of surgery - which tells you
just how far from civilization this was. (I think that's what we pay here
for a couple doggie vaccinations and a look-see).
