    What would make me feel warm and fuzzy is having the
discretionary income to buy a new Leica lens.
    I had a little good luck years ago before the polishers
from around the world drove the prices beyond reason.  I
lucked into:

1.  85 mm. f/1.5 Summarex  near mint

2.  I80 mm. f/2.8 TeleElmarit for Visoflex  used but nice 

    Are they neat toys ?  Yes.
    
    Are they any better that the phreak behind the  
    camera ?  Probably.
    
    Have other lenses equaled or surpased them?  Probably.
    for some things.  But not all.  
  
    All I can say is that I enjoy them when I get the 
    chance, which isn't often enough anymore.
