Well, apparently you cared enough to start the discussion.  And whether HCB
shot a hundred rolls a day or not, he actually WAS able to get the great
shots that were timed perfectly, plucked out of the chaos of our daily
lives.  So the average photo fan perceptions are correct.  I still disagree
that the average photo fan thinks HCB took ONLY those great shots.  Unless
these fans are extremely naive and foolish.  Are they?
