Is the five-area metering pattern what those of us on the Nikon reflex side
of the fence call Matrix metering, or center weighted metering?

When shooting with the R8 I use the 5 area metering pattern and 800asa, the
results are always right on.If your spot metering with the M camera look for
something 18% gray to meter off of or use a hand held meter.
