If one can afford college tuition in the USA, one likely has the means to buy a used
M camera, at least. By the time I got to sophomore year in Boston in 1980, I was on
my second M camera (an M5, after my M3 was stolen). Part-time after school jobs and
slightly reduced attendance at keg and quaalude parties helped pay the tab, and I
never regretted it.
