Help!

I've decided to make a new committment to re-learning photography in my
photography hobby. I have sold my heavy and aged Nikon F3 with all its
heavy and loose working lenses and accessories. I've nnever even held a
Leica camera before, but have read gobs of info about them and the
endless reputation these Leica camera have. After much net reading and
hair pulling, I am going to drive over to Keeble&Shucat cameras in Palo
Alto, California, tomorrow am and take a fresh look at these three Leica
camera bodies--M6, R6.2, M7 and R8.

What approach do I use in making my final choice in a Leica camertas
body to ultimately buy and use in my new photography journey. I will be
shooting all kinds of subject matter on color print film. I'm a
generalist but perfectionist enough to want the quality and feel that a
Leica gives. I want only one camera, for now, and will probably buy
three lenses--a wide-angle, a normal (50mm), and a telephoto lens. My
budget is $7,000 max. I will be able to buy more Leica stuff next year.
I'm sure a new camera body with 2-3 new lenses will keep me busy for
quite a while.

Is buying two zoom lenses (wide-angle to norm. and norm. to telephoto)
OK rather than buying three lenses (wide angle, 50mm, telephoto)?
