Sorry to take so long to reply.  For the non-Kodak person there is no direct
date of manufacture.  What you do get is a generation of film which
indirectly will tell you what is newish versus what has been around awhile.
There is an emulsion number with which the gnomes of Rochester could then
determine date, place, and run.
