The GT40 and the Miura are the pinnacle of hot-car designs as far as I'm concerned too. I was in Paris in '67, and was exposed to all the GT40/Le Mans publicity. I remember seeing a Miura there once and thinking that this was about as close to perfect as a car could get. Those two designs had serious soul. Like Adam I wouldn't trade my 540i for either as a daily driver, but they are definitely the stuff that dreams are made of.
