Thanks! That makes some senses for the numerical change. 
I have an R8, which I got primarily for its flashfill function. 
I do have a 351 module, which B&H sells for $20 more than the 3052
($59.xx). 
The 3051 is no longer listed as it is. But I might try finding a new old stock.
