G'day Andrew,

Well, I'm truely sorry you were so hurt by your experiences last
year. I hasten to add, it was hardly my intention to hurt the
feelings of anyone who submitted, but some of what you have said is
quite simply not true: look at

and you will find a group of selections from your "everyday life"
series were included. Your images are grouped because they conveyed
the type of thing the project was after, but because they carried a
similarity about them, they became a little lost in the judging. I
recognized that by putting up over 20 images of everyday life, they
voting on them would be split, and gee look, they are in. So, lets
have everyone go and look at these images. Lets hear some comments.
Are they so simply outstanding that you would expect one in every 4
people to have voted them as best image from a choice of over 770? Be
fair, the idea of the project was not to have individuals choosing
images but rather for the collective group to express something.

>Of course this is not an exhaustive list. But it was instructive

I'm sad you find having 5 images chosen out of 21 such a waste of
your time, and I sincerely hope you might reconsider your
involvement. Why not help judge this year instead of feeling angry
and hurt. I've tried to be inclusive not exclusive, and I would
welcome comments on how to choose the images fairly etc, and
"strange" as it may seem, your images are included in the project.

Cheers
