Speaking from personal experience, having to practice violin (or viola, in 
my case) under the demanding eyes (& ears) of a Chinese mother is enough 
to drive anyone into practicing law instead.  As far as Jews liking 
Chinese food, I can only say 1 word:  carryout [even on Xmas day!].

I know a Chinese attorney who works for one of the super firms in NYC, 
but if you talk to his mother, she'll tell you he could have been a 
concert violinist if he had practiced more.

No wonder Jews like Chinese food so much :)
