Ted

Thanks for the very kind words. The reason I've switched from Tri-X to
slower films is that in summer (not that you'd believe that it's summer
here in Paris at the moment - lots of rain today) Tri-X doesn't allow me
to use the Leica glass wide open. With the Nocti wide open is where it's
at :-)

It's rather difficult to believe that I've past the halfway point on the
PAW project. What I have learned so far is that I'm a people
photographer not a macro or landscape guy, I like using Leica glass wide
or nearly wide open, and that I really like shooting into the light.

The other thing that I've learned is to control the contrast better in
Photoshop - i.e. have blacks and whites as well as greys.

But perhaps most important of all, to me at any rate, I haven't fallen
out of love with Paris. As I said to some friends who asked how I found
things to shoot, where there are people there are photographs.

Plus of course there's the summer jazz festival in one of the parks with
tickets at 1.5 Euros a ticket ;-) Erik Trufaz today.

Hi Steve,

Love the main, a solid bit of Noctilux action and use where the lens
really shines with slow film use..

One thing I've neglected to say for some months and that is, it's always
a pleasure to open your PAW's . It's an even better pleasure to open the
main file and look through them all and see what you've produced. A very
good eye and technical ability to capture fine life moments through out
the year.

A fine examle to some of the others.
