Subject: [Leica] OT: ADAPTALL for Leica-R question.

I've discovered an interesting flaw with my Tamron AdaptAll Leica Mount on
my new 24mm/2.5 Tamron.

(The Tamron, while no Leica, is a remarkable value for those 'R' users who
rarely use w/a and cannot justify the price of a Leitz/Leica w/a.)

The mount works perfectly with my R6 (also with my R5 - before I destroyed
it) but when mounted on the R8, the viewfinder indicates the aperture is
set to f22, no matter where it's set! And the camera computes the exposure
accordingly!

When the shutter is released the lens stops down to whatever f-stop is
actually set, so that part's OK, but the metering is impossible.

I have examined the mount carefully and nothing appears to be sticking or
out of place.

Has anybody had this experience, or know what's wrong?

Many thanks.
