There was a report a year or so ago in the UK about a car that had been
hoisted up, yellow lines painted underneath it, put back and then given
a parking ticket.

just don't get frigging wheel clamped outside the Photographers
Gallery....

especially when the guy who comes to de-clamp you, after an extortionate
fee, agrees that it's impossible to tell that you couldn't park there
after 3pm on a Saturday - "oh, you could have parked in that spot there,
or that one over there okay, but not this one. Yeah... I know the yellow
lines have worn away...!"
