The same thing happened to me and I used SuperGlue 4.  It's still stuck
firmly a year later but so are the blobs of surplus glue on the chrome.  I
think I'll need to get Kyle to file them off.

Hi LUGers: I hope someone can help me on this one. A friend of mine has a
Leica M6 Classic and we noticed that the "look-like leather" that covers the
back plate (where the ISO speed dial is) is loose. Can someone recommend a
glue that can be used safely?
