The only possible reason to wear a Tilley is to cover the dent where a
house did land on you. I think the real problem is that the Tilley
arouses in me long dormant English racial fashion memories in me. The

Sorry, Stuart, but you're clearly too Boston oriented. I'd be willing to
bet
that there are a goodly number of Tilley-wearing females in the Pacific
Northwest, land of granola, scratchy wool, 50lbs hiking boots, and
bumper
stickers proclaiming things such as "I haven't been the same since that
house fell on my sister." ;-)

Leica owners are utterly without sex appeal. What young tart would want
to hang around a bunch of baggy-trousered, pot-bellied, hairless,
gas-bloated, Leica owners? What young lass wants to join meetings that
waste hours discussing lens caps, camera bags, micro-thread lens cloths,

and the latest Leica improvements (a.k.a., M7) which have been available

on SLRs for 25 years?

The LHSA annual convention is better suited to celibates than young
women.
