I live in a small town called Herrliberg, which is effectively a suburb of Zurich (15 km from city center). Some of my PAWs are taken within a few hundred metres of my house. So I already show my home on an ongoing basis. Other posters do the same, like Sonny with his small Lousiana town. Thus, I will not be participating in this project as in posting pictures to some central web site; I will just continue posting my PAWs to much the same effect. Having said all this, I think that your idea is very sound. I have said it before, but I think it bears repeating: my best work is from where I live, or at least from places that I visit often enough to call my "second homes" (like London or Copenhagen). Some of the LUGgers' pictures I enjoy most are likewise those showing their home towns, like Sonny or Steve Unsworth with his Paris shots. So I encourage all to show us their places, as Adam suggests, in whatever way suits them. And no, it is not necessary to live in Paris or New York to find good material. Someone mentioned that he lives in a boring town in New Jersey. I can imagine exactly how it looks, having lived in NJ for 5 years. But even there you can find good motives. One of my best-received PAWs so far this year was taken in a parking lot of a Wal-Mart in Singen, a nearby town in Germany.
