The reason why i really do think it's good to imitate your favorite
photographers is it gives you a concept; 
and that is the important thing. 
To go though shooting with no concept is the worst thing that you can do
I think.
Imitation forces you to have a concept. You get used to doing that kind
of thing. Next think you know it's your own concept.
